How Work inc Became Their Perfect Landing Spot
When it comes to aviation, you’d think the focus would solely be on the skies, but for Avlaw Aviation Consulting, the heart of their operation beats right here on the ground at Work inc. Since joining us in January 2018, this boutique professional services consulting organisation has nailed their niche and a work base to help them soar.
Avlaw Aviation Consulting’s Managing Director, Amin Hamzavian, told us that after seven years in a quiet Beecroft office, the team was ready for a change—a fresh start in a space that offered energy, connectivity, and flexibility. They craved somewhere with a buzz. And Work inc ticked a lot of boxes small businesses desire – friendly and competent staff, great amenities, close to the CBD and public transport.
“I had inspected half a dozen other offices including co-working spaces and Work inc was the stand out choice.”
– Amin Hamzavian
Leveraging the Network
Avlaw Aviation Consulting isn’t your typical corporate heavyweight; they thrive on precision, collaboration, and trust. These values extend from their global reach (35 contractors spread around the world) to their tight-knit core team.
“We value consistency and nothing sums up more than the fact that on our first day in the office back in 2011 there were three of us, and to this day, those same people remain.”
The company’s services are procured by traditional aviation operators such as airlines and airports as well as a wide range of other clients from industries that interface and transact with those stakeholders including (but not limited to) mining and resource companies, insurance brokers, utility suppliers, property developers, town planners, architects, government departments, regulatory authorities and law firms.
Being only one of six accredited Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) audit
companies in the world, and with the yearly increase in global air traffic the team
are kept busy. It’s safe to say the team is kept busy.
“As specialised and niche as our business is, we’ve even benefitted from being in a space that offers ease of access to hundreds of other members. We’ve engaged the services of other companies based at Work inc and even collaborated on tenders with others.”
Recently, Avlaw Aviation Consulting has been engaged by multiple property developers seeking aviation approvals for sites close to the new Western Sydney Airport, which is expected to open by the end of 2026. From critical infrastructure within the airport boundary to the largest parcel of industrial land in Western Sydney <500m from the end of the first runway to open, a wide range of issues need to be addressed to ensure developments can proceed without introducing hazards to aircraft safety. These include permanent and temporary obstacles, along with wildlife attractions, turbulence caused by buildings as well as compatible land uses which reduce the risk to people on the ground.
Big Wins, Big Plans
Avlaw’s journey at Work inc has coincided with some of their biggest milestones. During the global uncertainty of COVID-19, Avlaw Aviation Consulting managed to scale their operations, building a network of 35 global contractors. For a company that handles critical projects like auditing compliance for airlines and working on Western Sydney’s new airport, trust and expertise are everything.
But it’s not all work, the friendly team can be seen popping down to the cafe for coffee or chatting to members in their community. They haven’t missed a Work inc party in the 7 years they’ve called us home.
Avlaw Aviation Consulting is a testament to how a coworking space offers more than just an office. It’s a launchpad for ideas, connections and growth. So as Avlaw Aviation Consulting continues to take on the world of aviation consulting, we’re incredibly proud to be part of their journey and can’t wait to celebrate their next win.
