Sydney Buses

One of the easiest and fastest ways of travelling is Sydney buses. Sydney’s extensive bus network offers several routes to North Sydney.

If you’re using public transport in Sydney, you can opt for buses in Circular Quay; lines 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, or 207 take you directly to North Sydney. Alternatively, consider catching buses 320, 252, or 261 if you’re closer to Wynyard Station. These buses provide a convenient way to reach North Sydney and are well-connected to the city’s transport network.

If you’re far away from these spots, you can use the Sydney rail that goes around the city and get there to catch buses; the city rail Sydney lines include Randwick Line (L2) from Randwick to Circular Quay and Kingsford Line (L3) from Juniors Kingsford to Circular Quay.

Trains: A Fast Track to North Sydney

Sydney Trains is another fast and reliable option for those travelling from the City. From Central Station, the line T1 Hornsby Via Gordon train will get you to North Sydney quickly. Trains are known for their punctuality and are an excellent choice if you’re looking for a hassle-free commute.

NSW train tickets can be paid with an Opal card, but contactless payment methods include American Express (AMEX), MasterCard, and Visa credit or debit cards.

Ferry: A Scenic Ride to Remember

If you prefer a more scenic route, consider taking the Sydney ferry. The journey begins at Circular Quay, where you must board the ferry at Wharf 5, Side B. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Sydney Harbour as you sail towards your destination. The ferry arrives at Milsons Point Wharf, Side A, just a short distance from North Sydney.

Cycling / Walking through Sydney Harbour Bridge

You can also consider cycling or walking across the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This scenic route offers breathtaking views of the city skyline and the harbour. It’s not only a great way to get to North Sydney but also a fantastic way to explore the city.
